Trail Closures Beginning in September 2023

We’re (CVC) replacing the bridge decking and railings on the Elora Cataract Trailway. Construction work is planned for September 11 to 29. The Elora Cataract Trailway will be closed for construction between Station Street and Trafalgar Road. Due to ongoing road work in Hillsburgh, please use 6th Line and 22nd Sideroad as a detour route. This project was funded in part by a grant from Trans Canada Trail to enhance our local section of the Trans Canada Trail.
While construction of the linear works for the Erin Wastewater System Project and restoration is ongoing, the trail will be closed to the public. Sections of the trail are now closed for approximately 22 months lasting until June 2025. The CVC-owned portion of the ECT between 6^th Line and Trafalgar Road in Hillsburgh and the portion between 10^th Line, Erin Village to Cataract Road, Town of Caledon will remain open during construction.For more information on project timelines and construction updates visit the Town of Erin’s Wastewater System Project webpage at erinwastewater.ca.
