Discover events happening on the Trailway.

Two Day Event: April 18 & 19, 2026

The Bird Watching Weekend begins at St. Paul’s United Church, 8276 Side Rd, Arthur on Saturday April 18 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

It continues with a bird watching walk along the trailway on Sunday April 19.   

Join us at Forfar Park, 605 Gartshore Street East, Fergus at 9:30 am.

Single Event: May 23, 2026

The Native Plant Sale takes place May 23 at the Elora Centre for the Arts, 75 Melville Street, Elora, ON.

Single Event: April 12, 2026

Our Annual General Meeting takes place April 12, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Victoria Park Seniors Centre, 150 Albert Street West, Fergus, ON.


We are excited to have Natalie Faught, Senior Coordinator, Credit Valley Trail and Indigenous Engagement, Credit Valley Conservation, as our guest speaker. Joining her is Dayana Gomez, Executive Director, Credit Valley Conservation Foundation.

Neighbourwoods is hosting an interesting talk on the importance of native plants and how to design a beautiful garden that feeds pollinators.

Note: Neighbourwoods is part of the umbrella organization Elora Environment Centre, along with the Food Forest, Tree Trust and the Centre Wellington Native Plant Group.

Grab your warmest gear and join us for a scenic adventure along the beautiful Elora Cataract Trailway! Whether you prefer hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, or fat biking, you’ll love this fun-filled journey.

🎲 How does it work?

  • Play a simple poker-style game as you explore the trail!
  • Prizes for the best hand, worst hand, and a random draw—everyone has a chance to win!

🌲 What to expect:

  • Enjoy a relaxed round-trip trek (about 1–1.5 hours)—this is NOT a race, so take your time and soak in the winter wonderland.
  • Winning is all about luck, so just have fun!

💚 Why join?

  • All proceeds go directly to supporting the ongoing maintenance of the Elora Cataract Trailway.

If you want to meet new people while walking outside, come on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am.

Please note: the weekly Sunday walk is cancelled until Spring 2026.

You can ride your bike and have a picnic at the town of Belwood after meeting up at Lake Belwood. If you go from Elora, the round trip is about 40 km.
